THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE ADA TOUR DE CURE 2017

Released: July 6, 2017

This year’s 26th Tour de Cure took place on June 3, 2017. Dan-Gulf was able to contribute $5,540 of the $106,566.09 collected so far by the St. Tammany Trace Ride for the American Diabetes Association.

This was a celebratory ride for the Dan-Gulf family and friends as this year our office manager, Liz Netherland, underwent a successful kidney transplant. The positive impact made by all our efforts directly affects people like Liz, who continues to live successfully with diabetes.

On another positive note, I did not commit the cycling fashion faux pas I had last year by wearing a black sweater. Instead, I made the mistake of not only wearing arm warmers in the heat of summer, but also a bike vest on top of my bike shirt! I looked like I was ready for a Siberian winter ride instead of a hot Louisiana Summer ride! Needless to say, Dan-Gulf’s President Niels was not impressed with my fashion (non)sense for a 2nd year in a row! Luckily, I did not fall into a ditch again this time, but I did look like I was headed to the North Pole.

We send a special thanks to all the riders who supported the tour. Our 100 mile group rode for several hours in heavy rain and was the first of that course to cross the finish line! We also thank all of you so much for your continuous support throughout the years.

Let’s get ready for the 2018 ADA ride!

Best Regards,

Eliana McCaffery
